![]() The Mammoth Cave Campground is ideal for visitors seeking an authentic national park experience while still having easy access to amenities, cave tours, and other park activities. This developed campground is located within ¼ mile from the visitor center and contains 111 primitive campsites with a mixture of tent only sites, group sites, tent or RV sites, and accessible sites. Rangers on duty in the campground kiosk are happy to provide information to make your stay a special adventure.

Fire/Stove Policy Keep fires within provided fire rings. Fires must be extinguished when campers leave the campsite. Only dead and down wood may be used. Observe posted fire condition warnings and regulations. Ensure that fires are extinguished fully at checkout. Toilet Types

Mammoth Cave Campground - Single Site Per-night, per-site fee for a single campsite in the Mammoth Cave Campground at the regular rate. Limit 8 persons per site. Campers may stay a maximum of 14 days in a calendar year. Check-in time is 1:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00 am. No refunds. $25.00 Mammoth Cave Campground - Single Site - Senior Pass or Access Pass Per-night, per-site fee for a single campsite in the Mammoth Cave Campground at the reduced rate for visitors with Golden Age/Golden Access Passports and America The Beautiful Senior/Access Passports. Limit 8 persons per site. Campers may stay a maximum of 14 days in a calendar year. Check-in time is 1:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00 am. No refunds. $12.50 Mammoth Cave Campground - Group Site Per-night, per-site fee for a single campsite in the Mammoth Cave Campground at the regular rate. No discount is offered on group camping. Limit 16 persons per site. Campers may stay a maximum of 14 days in a calendar year. Check-in time is 1:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00 am. No refunds. $40.00 Mammoth Cave Campground - VIP Site Unavailable 2025 RV sites with full water, sewer and electric hookups. Limit eight persons per night per site. These sites are first come first serve and can not be reserved. Accessibility Information
ADA Information - Campsites no. 37 and 38 are fully accessible. There is no electric or water at these two sites. Wheelchair Access - All roads in Mammoth Cave Campground are paved. Each loop of the campground has one set of accessible restrooms. The adjacent service center offers a camp store, rest rooms, and a U.S. Post Office. RV & Trailer Information - RVs can be accommodated at selected sites, although there are no electric or water hookups except at the two VIP sites. A dump station is available at the adjacent service center. Check on recreation.gov or call the park to inquire before reserving a site for your RV. RV Allowed - Yes RV Max Length in Feet - 38 Trailer Allowed - Yes Trailer Max Length in Feet - 26 Classification - This campground is a developed campground. FIREWOOD QUARANTINE: Firewood from a number of states is quarantined due to an insect infestation by one or more insect pests (e.g. the Emerald Ash Borer) that is devastating certain tree species. To prevent infestation of trees in the park, transport of firewood into the park is prohibited. You may pick up any dead or downed wood inside the park or purchase wood from the Caver's Campstore located at the Service Center. Store hours vary with season; check bulletin board at kiosk for current hours. Please help protect our forests from these destructive pests and do not bring firewood into the Park. Provide an excellent example to all visitors by following the Seven Leave No Trace Principles.
