Northwest Youth Corps – AmeriCorps Internship

Position Summary:

Lewis and Clark National Historical Park Resource and Visitor Services teams are hiring interns through the Northwest Youth Corps for summer positions.
Resource management work includes invasive plant control, park science monitoring and partner projects.
Interpretation and education experience includes costumed interactions at Fort Clatsop, hikes and kayaking as well as working with youth in summer programs.
The positions run from early June through August, with some flexibility based on academic schedules. The stipend is 7,200, prorated on a monthly basis, and a $1,718.25 education award upon completion of 480 hours of service.

Youth Conservation Corps:

Several Positions (no experience required)

Have you ever wanted to know what it is like to work as a park ranger? The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is a great chance to learn about the National Park Service through a summer work youth program. If selected, you will work with park staff on a variety of projects, including trail building and revegetation work as well as invasive plant removal and wetland restoration. You will also share your knowledge with the park's summer visitors.

Summer 2024 - Positions will open in early spring

Work Dates: June 17 through Aug. 23, 2024
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage - Oregon
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Daytime, 40 hours per week
Age: Must be 15 years old by start date and not to have reached 19 years of age by end date.
