NPS Photo Ranger ProgramsPrograms and tours will be held on Saturdays and Sundays.Tours are by reservation only, no walkins. Please call 806-857-3151 to reserve a spot. Tours will not be given during high winds, inclement weather, or when there warnings by the National Weather Service. The quarries and Canadian River Valley have been burned badly. During high winds, the dust, sand, and ash cover the skies and it is not safe to be outdoors hiking. 
NPS Photo Special Hikes of the Month coming up: Turkey Creek Trail - April 27th Meet at the Turkey Creek Trailhead at 9:30 a.m. Wear hiking attire and hiking shoes. This hike is an easy hike and you will see natural resources along the shoreline of Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. Ranger-led. |
