The rock cycle takes place over billions of years. It can be hard to think what might happen in that time.
This activity encourages you to use your imagination to imagine what different parts of the rock cycle might look like over time.
- Print out your comic template
- For each square draw a different stage of the rock cycle. What kind of images do these key words make you think of? What part of the rock cycle are they?
- Volcanos (Magma melting rocks and minerals)
- Lava Flows (cooling into igneous rocks)
- Glaciers (Cooling or compaction and cementation)
- Glaciers melting (Weathering and erosion)
- Plants growing (Compaction and cementation? Weathering and erosion?)
- Present Day (What stage are we at in the rock cycle?)
