Telescoping Values

  • Telescoping values is an idea that when something has value, it leads to another thing of value. This other thing could be other buildings, organizations, and other values, etc.
  • One example of this is that books lead to the value of knowledge, knowledge leads to the value of education, and education leads to the value of a library.
Questions:
  • What other values lead to the formation of further values?
  • Can you think of any buildings in your town that were created because of community values?
