About the ArtistElizabeth Rose was an Artist-in-Residence at Isle Royale National Park from July 5th to July 20th, 2022. She earned her MFA in Printmaking from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and holds a BA in Fine Art with a minor in Wilderness Studies from the University of Montana. Elizabeth works with patterns of species distribution, range maps, and glacial movements as a way to chart and re-access cross cultural connections in our mutually shared landscape and world. She is interested in creating art that interprets parallel places and ecosystems, focused on the flora and fauna. Through color charts, relief prints, and photographs, Elizabeth conveys the subtleties of wilderness. You can view more of Elizabeth Rose's work on the artist's personal webpage.
