NPS/David Kapszukiewicz About the ArtistDavid was an Isle Royale Artist-in-Residence from August 24th to September 4th, 2018. He is originally from Wisconsin and worked as a graphic designer for 33 years. He holds a B.A. in Art from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. He considers the beginning of his professional artist journey in 2007, when he attended the Kewaunee Academy of Fine Art. He continued to paint in his studio near Tomahawk, Wisconsin while attending, then graduated in 2011. Now primarily an oil painter, he also works in graphite and acrylic occasionally in addition to offering art workshops and private lessons. Learn more about David and his work on his webpage.
