John Gaunt (Artist-in-Residence, 2018)

About the Artist

John Gaunt was an Isle Royale Artist-in-Residence from July 20th to August 4th, 2018. He has been a teacher since 1995 and maintains a studio in Minneapolis that involves painting, drawing, and model building. He has held numerous visiting artist and guest lecturer positions as far as Germany and Ireland. He received his MFA in Painting from Syracuse University and his B.A. in Studio Art from Gustavus Adolphus College.
