Great Lakes Research & Education Center
This educational center facilitates research in eleven national parks within the Great Lakes region and brings new knowledge about natural and cultural resources to the eyes of the public.

Lake County Solid Waste Management District
This district offers award-winning environmental education programs. They have an Enviroroom in Merrillville, an Environmental Education Center in Hammond, and two Enviromobiles that bring education to the schools.

Indiana Dunes State Park
This state park contains some of the Midwest's most diverse flora and fauna. The park naturalists present programs that help students learn about and explore its dunes, beaches, marshes, swamps, savannas, and woodlands.

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum
For over 160 years, the Chicago Academy of Sciences / Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum has served a unique role in the city of Chicago connecting children of all ages to nature and science. Check for online, education resources.

Porter County Recycling & Waste Reduction
This district provides high quality, interactive, education programs to grades K-8 that meet Indiana's state science standards. They adjust and bring their fun, scientifically sound programs to your classroom.
