Species Status and Abundance

This inventory compiled information on plant and animal species occurrence and distribution in parks, and resulted in preliminary species lists. To prioritize planning and strategically accumulate information on organisms of greatest interest to park managers, the program first focused on inventories of vascular plants and vertebrates. Learn more about species inventories.

In the San Francisco Bay Area Network, additional, ongoing inventories of animals and plants are conducted in collaboration with universities and other partner organizations undertaking natural resource studies in parks.
