Clean air, the thing we can't see yet need. It is essential to the health of park visitors and our communities, and is important to the wellbeing of the natural environment, including all plants and animals. Air quality has improved in national parks and across our country over the last 30 years. However, almost all of our parks are still impacted by air pollution. Monitoring air quality is, therefore, how the National Park Service stays up-to-date with ever-changing air conditions.
