![]() NPS Photo Lodging and DiningThere are no restaurants or lodges in Hovenweep National Monument. The nearest restaurants and hotels are in Monticello, Blanding, and Bluff, Utah, and Cortez, Colorado. These towns are about 40-45 miles (one hour's drive) from Hovenweep. Canyonlands Natural History Association sells some hiking snacks in the bookstore. Picnic TablesFour picnic tables are located around the visitor center parking lot. Restrooms are located at the visitor center. None of the tables have fire grates. WaterWater bottle filling stations are located inside the visitor center (year round) and in the visitor center breezeway (seasonal). ![]() A 31-site campground near the visitor center is open year-round and fully reservable through Recreation.gov. The campground is designed for tent camping, though a few sites will accommodate RVs up to 36 feet long. Groups are limited to eight people and two vehicles. Sites include tent pads, fire rings and picnic tables with shade structures; there are no hookups available. One campsite is wheelchair-accessible but is not designed for tent camping.
