The museum and archive collection at Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park consists of over 31,000 objects under the general classifications of archeology, ethnology, history, biology, paleontology, and geology and 1,350 linear feet of records that include documents and audio-visual material. The purpose of the museum and archive collection is to preserve the cultural, natural, and administrative activity of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park.
