Peak seasonThere are two ceremony sites (South and North) available in the Mormon Row Historic District for submitting an application for a Reserved Site-Specific Ceremony Permit from mid-May to mid-October. The applicant must select one location for their ceremony permit.
There is a limit of one ceremony per day between both locations and no more than 60 ceremonies total per year. Non-peak seasonOnce snow arrives in early fall and until it melts in the late spring, the Mormon Row Historic District is closed to vehicle traffic about 1 mile prior to the intersection of Mormon Row. Outside of the Reserved Site-Specific application period, you may apply for a Small Dispersed Ceremony permit for no more than 12 participants. Special ConsiderationsPhotosYou may have photos taken in front of the barns and pink house. The Mormon Row Historic Site is a highly visited location in Grand Teton National Park and while iconic and beautiful, it is not private. You may not prevent other visitors from accessing the area. Please be respectful of sharing the space with all visitors seeking to do the same. SeedsMormon Row has non-native grasses and weed seeds which are not in most other locations of the park. If you plan to have your photos taken or will be going to other locations in the park (i.e., Schwabacher Landing, Glacier View Turnout, turnouts along the Teton Park Road, Oxbow Bend, Colter Bay etc) after your ceremony, please be mindful that your shoes and clothing do not have seeds on them. They can transport the seeds to these other locations. You may also consider visiting those locations first. ParkingParking can be very limited especially at sunrise, sunset and midday. Consider limiting the number of vehicles, carpooling as much as possible or shuttling participants and parking vehicles in the parking pullout about 1 mile west on Antelope Flats Road. Do not park along the shoulder of the road or south of the pull in parking lot by the vault toilet. There is an oversized vehicle parking pullout on Antelope Flats Road with a sign that says Bus Parking. You may use this if you have a bus or oversized shuttle vehicle. Do not park sedan or SUV sized vehicles in these spaces or the bus turnaround circle. South Mormon Row Ceremony LocationThis rustic and undecorated ceremony location is in the area south of the foot bridge pictured below. It is not in front of or north the T.A. Moulton Homestead Barn. NPS/ J. Sullivan North Mormon Row Ceremony LocationThe North Mormon Row ceremony location is available for groups up to 40 people. The ceremony location is North of the John Moulton Homestead. A short walk down the gated road past the “Pink House” and John Moulton Barn, cross the foot bridge and you will find the ceremony site behind the barn in the historic corral area which provides more privacy with an open area and views of the Tetons. You may take photos in front of the barn as long as you are respectful of sharing the space with all visitors seeking to do the same.
