Kuwohi Road (formerly Clingmans Dome Road)

4/1–11/30

Scenic, two-lane, paved road from Newfound Gap Road to Kuwohi Visitor Center and Overlook. Subject to closures due to snow, ice, and other hazardous weather events.

Heintooga Round Bottom Road

TBD due to Hurricane Helene impacts

One-way, gravel road that begins at the Balsam Mountain Picnic Area and connects to Straight Fork Road. Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited.

Heintooga Ridge Road

5/9–10/31

Two-way, paved road that connects the Blue Ridge Parkway and Heintooga Round Bottom Road. Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited.

Forge Creek Road

3/7–12/31

Subject to closures due to snow, ice, or muddy conditions.

Little Greenbrier Road (to the Little Greenbrier Schoolhouse)

4/18–11/30

Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited. Access road clearance may be accommodated for school groups 12/1–12/30 when scheduled in advance.

Parson Branch Road

4/11–11/10

One-way, 8-mile road. High clearance vehicles are recommended. Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited.

Rich Mountain Road

4/11–11/10

One-way road. Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited.

Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail

4/18–11/30

One-way road and very steep. Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited.

Straight Fork Road

TBD due to Hurricane Helene impacts

Two-way, gravel road providing access to Round Bottom horse camp.

Upper Tremont Road

Year-round

Subject to closures due to snow, ice, or muddy conditions.

Wear Cove Road

Year-round

Motorhomes, buses, and vans longer than 25 feet, plus passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited on this narrow, two-way road. Ten-ton weight limit.

Cataloochee Road

Year-round

Two-lane gravel road subject to closure due to snow, ice, and other hazardous weather events.
