Welcome to Fort Vancouver's Field Trip Reservation System
Thank you for choosing to book your field trip at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

Please Note: This school year, we will not be offering any transportation reimbursements.

Before proceeding, please carefully review the instructions below. Booking your field trip is now easier than ever with our simple two-step process. Both steps must be completed correctly to secure your reservation. Incomplete or incorrect submissions may result in cancellation.

Step 1: Complete the Online Reservation Form

• Please fill out the Field Trip Reservation Form below.
• All required fields must be completed.
• Before listing your preferred date, please check the calendar below for current availability.

Step 2: Reserve Your Date Using the Booking Calendar
After submitting the form, follow the link to our Field Trip Booking Calendar to select your preferred date and time.

• Make sure the details on the calendar match the information you provided in the form.
• If there are any discrepancies, your field trip may be canceled.

Example: If your reservation form states that your group has 45 students, but you only reserved for a One-Class Field Trip, this would exceed our capacity limits and may lead to cancellation. Limits are listed below under “Services Offered”.

Important Notes

• Group capacity limits apply. Be sure to stay within the posted limits when booking.
• A park ranger or volunteer may contact you the week before your visit to confirm your reservation details.
• If you need to make changes after booking, please reach out to us as soon as possible at [e-mail].

Field Trip Hours:
Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 1 PM. We can accommodate up to 3 classes per day, with a maximum of 30 students per class.

Groups larger than 90 must make separate reservations.

Services Offered:

One-Class Field Trip
For groups of 10 to 30 students. Includes:
- A 1-hour guided tour of the Fort.

Two-Class Field Trip
For groups of 10 to 60 students. The group will be divided into two equal parts. Each will receive:
- A 1-hour guided tour of the Fort.
- A 1-hour self-guided tour of Pearson Air Museum.

Three-Class Field Trip
For groups of 15 to 90 students. The group will be divided into three equal parts. Each will receive:
- A 1-hour guided tour of the Fort.
- A 1-hour self-guided tour of Pearson Air Museum.
- A 1-hour visit to the Visitor Center, playground, and surrounding green areas.

FAQ's

How can I find out what dates are available?
Availability is shown directly on our Field Trip Booking Calendar.

• Click on a date to view available time slots.
• If you see the message “There is no availability on this date. Please choose another one,” that date is booked or unavailable.
• Please do not email us about dates that appear unavailable on the calendar; all current availability is shown in real time.

What is the cost for a field trip to Fort Vancouver National Historic Site?There is no charge for students or chaperones visiting the Fort on a scheduled field trip.

Where should I park when I arrive?
Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your reservation time. You may park in the South Parking Lot. There is no parking fee. (1001 E 5th St, Vancouver, WA 98661)

How do I request 4th grade passes for my students?
If you are bringing 4th grade students, please email [e-mail] so we can help you secure the appropriate number of passes when you arrive at the fort.

How will I know if my reservation has been accepted and booked?
You will receive a confirmation email once your field trip is booked. Please check your inbox for this email and review its contents carefully for additional information. Please note: If you do not receive a confirmation email, your field trip has not been booked.

Where can students eat lunch?
Outdoor seating: We have picnic tables located outside near the playground. These are open to the public and available, no reservation needed.

Privacy Act Statement

Authority: Public Law 114-289 National Park Service Centennial Act and 54 U.S.C. 100701 Protection, interpretation, and research in System.

Purpose: To administer education programs for education audiences including but not limited to school groups, scouting groups, extracurricular groups, and home school groups.

Routine Uses: To effectively manage requests for education received by the NPS, the Education Reservation Request Form is used to collect basic education reservation information to facilitate operational aspects of scheduling groups for park education programs, including in-park education programs, ranger in classroom programs, and/or online distance learning programs.

Paperwork Reduction Act Statement
