Do you want to plan a field trip to Fort Smith National Historic Site?
Here's what you need to know!
-While the Visitor Center is closed due to COVID-19, virtual ranger chats may be requested! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information about requesting a Virtual Ranger Program related to Fort Smith's history.
-Depending on staffing availability, Ranger Guided Programs may be requested for Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. All programs are designed to be Ranger or Teacher Guided.
-Programs available include a standard building tour, Trail of Tears program, Civil War in Arkansas, and Fort Smith Military History. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
-Your reservation is NOT confirmed until you have been contacted by the Fort Smith NHS staff.
-Please contact us at least 2 WEEKS prior to your requested date.
-To schedule your field trip or if you have any questions, please contact Ashley Burns at 479-226-3723 or send an email to email@example.com. Limited transportation funding may be available.
-There is never a fee for students 15 and younger. We offer a fee waiver for accredited education institutions and homeschool groups for instructors and chaperones.
Please Note: Fee waivers for Federal Lands Recreation and Enhancement Act (FLREA) entrance fees are NOT granted automatically. Educational groups must apply for and meet the criteria.
