Fort Frederica National Monument is pet friendly! We ask that all pets are on a leash, are under control at all times, and all waste is picked up. Waste bags are provided at the entrance to the town of Frederica and at the dock. There is a water fountain for dogs on the breezeway of the Visitor Center. Pets are not permitted in the Visitor Center. Service Animals Fort Frederica National Monument follows National Park Service policy relating to service dogs. The National Park Service defines a service dog as “a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.” To view the policy, please click here (Service Animals in National Parks (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)
