There are many historic sites, museums, and parks (federal, state, and local) along the Trail. Current Conditions vary by location. Please contact individual sites for more information about their specific site.

The trail passes through Louisiana and Texas, and into Mexico. There could be a variety of weather conditions, including storms, flooding, and even the possibility of tornados. Please check with the area you are planning to visit for weather information before your visit.
