Throughout the summer, guided tours scheduled for most Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays depart from the visitor center at 10:00 am. Guided tours also may be scheduled for other days or times; however, these are not guaranteed because staff may not be available, especially on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Short afternoon “Pop-Up” programs on various topics, moreover, are scheduled for most days at 2:00 pm.

The guided tours and programs scheduled every day are listed on a green board set up to the left of the visitor center entryway. We invite you to call ahead to confirm if and when programs may be scheduled for a day. Similarly, because all outdoor activities, including hikes, are subject to rescheduling or cancellation in the event of thunder, lightning, heavy rain, or heat index levels at dangerous or extremely dangerous levels, we encourage you to contact the park if weather may be a concern.

Any upcoming special (e.g., one-time) events will be listed on our park calendar.
