Following his father’s death in 1931, he assumed direction of the research laboratories of Thomas A. Edison Incorporated. Included are documents reflecting his research work for his father in the 1920s, as well as his own research facilities, Calibron Industries; his collection of historical documents and artifacts relating to Thomas Edison’s career and the products of the Edison Company during the decades after his father’s death; and his relations with the National Park Service as it took over administration of the laboratory museum during and after the 1950s.
