A multipurpose building used as an office, small workshop and equipment storage shop at Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve in Coupeville, WA on Whidbey Island was destroyed in an afternoon fire on July 19.

The National Park Service will cancel the current solicitation for an agricultural lease within Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve. Although proposals were received for the Lease, the NPS was unable to successfully agree to lease terms with the proposers. The current lease has been extended and will now expire on November 30, 2022.

SAN FRANCISCO - The National Park Service (NPS) has selected Roy Zipp to serve as the superintendent of John Day Fossil Beds National Monument starting November 22. Zipp currently serves as the superintendent at Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve in Washington.

The National Park Service (NPS) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an agricultural lease on NPS lands within the Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve. This lease includes 46.5 acres of cropland, which will continue a long history of farming on Whidbey Island and sustain the rural agricultural values of the Reserve.
