Parking is limited, especially during our visitor center lot construction project.

Parking at Devils Tower National Monument is limited. The park sees thousands of visitors per day during the summer (May to September). Parking at the Visitor Center can fill up between 10 am and 3 pm daily; we highly recommend you plan to visit either early or late in the day. Recently, a project to improve accessibility was completed on the visitor center parking lot.

I am Driving...

You may park in the visitor center lot, picnic area lot, or Joyner Ridge Trailhead lot. The visitor center lot fills first and more often than the other parking lots in the park.

You may park in the visitor center lot or in the long vehicle parking lot near the picnic area. Long vehicle parking is limited at the visitor center lot.

Long vehicle parking at the visitor center lot is located along the outbound lane. Follow the flow of traffic around the visitor center parking lot and park in designated long vehicle parking as you head away from the visitor center area.

You may park in the visitor center lot or in the long vehicle parking lot near the picnic area. Long vehcle parking is limited at the visitor center lot.

We highly recommend you drop your trailer in the long vehicle parking lot near the picnic area and proceed with just your passenger vehicle.

I am Here to Climb

We encourage climbers to park in the lower / gravel lot of the visitor center parking lot. This lot provides more shade for cars parked all day and allows short-term visitors more parking in the upper / paved lot. At the stop sign at the head of the parking area, turn right and follow the gravel road to the lower / gravel lot. The lower lot also has its own exit to the main park road, allowing you to easily head out at the end of a long day's climb.
