![]() Sea Camp Campground is located a half mile from the Sea Camp dock. All sites are walk-to, tent sites and campers are responsible for transporting all gear. Carts can be used. There are flush toilets, drinking water, cold showers, and a dish washing sink. Each site has a fire ring with grill, picnic table and food storage. It is common for this campground to fill up. Permits are $22 a night for individual sites good for up to 6 people. Group sites are $40 a night good for up to 20 people.

Fire/Stove Policy Fires are permitted in designated fire rings only. No beach fires. Dead and downed wood can be collected. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase on the Cumberland Island Ferry. Camp stoves are permitted. Do not leave fires unattended. Put them completely out before leaving your site. Toilet Types

Weather Weather conditions can change quickly. Keep an eye to the sky. It is hot and humid during the summer months. Bring water bottles and food. There are no services on the island beyond the water fountains and bathrooms. Wear a hat, light clothing and sunscreen. There is some tree cover but lots of sun to go with it. In winter, keep yourself hydrated and dress in layers. Sea Camp individual site Campers must have a reservation. Individual sites have a maximum of six people per site. The fee covers one night. $22.00 Sea Camp Group Site Campers must have a reservation. Each group site will accommodate a maximum of 20 campers. The fee is per night. All campers must deboard the ferry at the Sea Camp dock. If arriving by private boat the Sea Camp dock will be the closest to the campsite. The campground is located 0.5 miles east from the Sea Camp dock. A well traveled trail leads to the campground. For directions to the mainland Visitor Center and ferry check-in, visit the Directions page on the park website.Additional Information There are no electric hookups at the sites, but receptacles are available near the restroom. Cell Phone Additional Information Cell phone reception can be spotty on the island. Campers may need to leave the site to get a good connection. Cell reception can generally be found near the Sea Camp Ranger Station and dock. Dial 9-1-1 in cases of emergency. Regulations Stay Limit: 7 consecutive nights. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance. All camping on Cumberland Island requires a reservation and printed permit, and must be done in a designated campsite. Dispersed camping and beach camping are not permitted. Check the ferry schedule prior to reserving your Cumberland Island National Seashore Camping Permit unless you are traveling by private boat. The ferry does not operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from December through February.
