The Plum Orchard dock is closed until further notice due to a scheduled project. Public docking is available on the north end of the Sea Camp and Dungeness docks on a first come-first serve basis.

Effective April 1, 2023, the entrance fees to Cumberland Island National Seashore will be modified to align with standardized rates nationwide for similar national park areas. A 7-day pass to the park will be $15 for adults 16 and older. An annual park pass will cost $45 and will cover 4 people.
In preparation for Nicole and the subsequent impacts to Camden County, Cumberland Island National Seashore will close to the public at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 9th, 2022. A mandatory evacuation is in place. All campers, visitors, staff, and volunteers must depart the island by 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 9th. The last boat departing the island is at 11:00 am from the Sea Camp dock.
A visitor use management plan for Cumberland Island National Seashore is available for public review and comment. The public is encouraged to review the plan, which includes an environmental assessment, and join National Park Service staff to learn more about the plan at a virtual public meeting on Thursday, November 17. Comments will be accepted through November 30, 2022.
In preparation for Hurricane Ian and the subsequent impacts to Camden County, Cumberland Island National Seashore will close to the public at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. The park will remain closed until after the storm has passed and re-open once damage assessments have been made and the park is deemed safe for visitation.
Cumberland Island National Seashore turns 50 on October 23rd, 2022! To commemorate this significant milestone, the park will be hosting a year-long series of events, to begin with a kick-off event on October 1, 2022 in conjunction with the St. Marys Seafood festival.
National Volunteer Week recognizes the contributions of our volunteers. This year's celebration takes place April 17-23, 2022. Volunteers have given over 7,000 hours of service to maintain and improve Cumberland Island.
Cumberland Island National Seashore is celebrating Earth Day and National Park Week on Friday, April 22, 2022, with a volunteer event. We will be installing a butterfly and pollinator garden at the Cumberland Island Museum at 129 Osborne Street in Saint Marys, Georgia from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
