Acting Superintendent Gia Wagner named for Cumberland Island National Seashore and Fort Frederica National Monument  
  
ST. MARYS, Ga.— Effective January 14, Gia Wagner will serve as Acting Superintendent of Cumberland Island National Seashore and Fort Frederica National Monument until May. Gia Wagner has been the Superintendent of Andersonville National Historic Site since 2020. Her strong background in natural and cultural resources, partnerships, and compliance and will be an asset to both parks.  

 

“I am excited for the opportunity to further all the good work happening at both parks. I look forward to engaging with our partners and stakeholders and learning more about the nationally significant resources at Cumberland Island National Seashore and Fort Frederica National Monument,” said Gia Wagner. The South Atlantic-Gulf Regional Office continues to work to fill the superintendent position permanently.
