In Author mode, you can see published content, and view or modify any of your changes with Work in Progress or Pending Approval status.
You can view, but not modify, Work in Progress or Pending Approval changes created by others. CommonSpot displays purple icons for work done by others, with status, as shown below.
Any Elements you have permission to change will display an appropriate icon, allowing you to modify Element content or properties, as shown above for the container on the right. See Work In Progress and Approval Icons for more information.
Please note that leaving a page in Author mode [Work in this Page - (My Changes, All Changes, Approval)] will prevent other users from working on the page until the session has expired. To help prevent that situation, please move back to View Page as Published before leaving the page. CommonSpot will also release the lock automatically if the user holding the lock has an expired account.
