Driving
Westbound on Highway I-70 towards Grand Junction, Exit 31 (Horizon Drive) or Exit 37 (Clifton/ Business 70). Follow signs through Grand Junction to the east entrance on Monument Road. The visitor center and campground are 19 miles from the east entrance.
Eastbound on Highway I-70 take Exit 19 (Fruita). Turn south on Highway 340 to the west entrance, which is approximately three miles from Fruita. The visitor center and campground are four miles up from the west entrance. If you are prone to vertigo or don't like heights, you may want to choose this entrance because you will be traveling on the inside lane next to the hillside, for most of the trip.
Airplane
The closest airport to the monument is the Grand Junction Regional Airport. Other airports are located farther away in Montrose and Vail.
Train
Amtrak provides daily service to Grand Junction.
Bicycle
Many visitors ride bikes on Rim Rock Drive. Check out the regulations and suggested routes. Bicycles must ride single file and be equipped with lights.

Public Transportation
No services reach Colorado National Monument, however Grand Valley Transit provides public bus routes throughout the Grand Valley. Rental cars are available at the airport.
