Fee Waiver
Fees will be waived for general admission into the self-guided trails for educational field trips. To qualify for a fee waiver you must:
- Complete the entire application.
- Include a lesson plan that shows how your trip is educational in nature and connected to our resource.
- Sign the visitor rules.
Please email your fee waiver application at least three weeks in advance of your group’s visit. The park needs this amount of time to thoroughly review and respond to your request.

If your application is approved, a confirmation letter will be faxed to you. You will need to bring this letter with you during your visit.
UPON ARRIVAL, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR STUDENTS ON THE BUS. One teacher should check in at the Fee Desk to get your tickets. Then check in with the Information Desk to schedule your orientation. Please have students take restrooms breaks before their orientation. If your students bring lunches, they can eat them at the picnic tables in the east parking lot.
Please advise your group that temperatures in the cave are cool (56ºF/13ºC) and therefore a jacket is strongly recommended.
You are responsible for the behavior of your group. Should a group be disrespectful of staff or of the resource itself, your group may be asked to leave the park. It is important that all members of your group understand and follow the rules of the cave. These rules are for each individual's safety, for cave protection, and for the enjoyment of all visitors to the park.
