Whether your visit is a local day trip or part of an extended Parkway tour, the Crabtree Falls area is a welcome place to relax. Spend a night under the stars, hike to incredible Crabtree Falls, or just stop by for lunch at the picnic area.

Points of Interest:

Crabtree Falls does not have a visitor center. The closest visitor center is North Carolina Museum of Minerals, 8 miles north along the Parkway.

Things to Do:

Hike to the Falls: The scenic 2.5-mile loop trail takes you to the base of Crabtree Falls, where water cascades over a 60-foot rock cliff. Hikers can then return back the way they came, or continue on the trail to the top of the falls and eventually back to the trailhead. Learn more about the Crabtree Falls trail.
