Event: Burial Event Date: 06/06/1801 Event Place: Tumacácori
Notes: [On the 5th day of June] in the year of the Lord 1801, Felix Hurtado, son of Francisco Hurtado and Juana de Dios Mesa, who was fifteen years of age, died at the hands of the Apaches like the two above [Juan Antonio Crespo and José María Paxarito] and was buried on the same day as them, the 6th, in the cemetery. There was no time to provide any of the sacraments, nor was their any way to get to them because the Apaches were laying in wait for the people to come outside. It was like this until the afternoon of the 6th when the said people of the village were reinforced. When the soldiers and the residents were able to unite after two days, the Apaches retreated and his body was retrieved and buried, for which truths I signed on the said day, month, and year as above. = Fr. Narciso Gutierrez, Minister for His Majesty
