Notes: 156 - Estevan Mallen and María Dolores Gonzáles. In the year of the Lord 1807, the three banns prescribed by the Holy Council of Trent having solemnly preceded on three consecutive feast days: the first on November 8th, a Sunday; the second on the 15th, a Sunday; and the third on the 22nd, I, Fray Narciso Gutiérrez, presbyter apostolic minister for His Majesty in this mission of Tumacácori, on this day, the 28th of the same month, in the church asked Estevan Mallen, an Indian of this village, and María Dolores Gonzáles, an Indian also of this village and of the Apache nation, if they desired to be joined in matrimony and, having received their consent according to present church policy for true and legitimate marriage, I solemnly joined and veiled them the same day. Present and well-known witnesses were José Ignacio Peralta, married to María Luz Carpio; Juan Legarra, married to Pilara Arcayos; and Chrisostomo Zúñiga, married to Salvadora de la Torre, all from this village, and for this truth I signed on the said day, month, and year as above. = Fray Narciso Gutiérrez (rubric), minister for His Majesty |
