He had been with the Bezerra Nieto family for many years and is recorded as the "pregonero" for the inspection that Antonio Bezerra Nieto had made of the ranches and mines of Sonora in 1718 (see Archivo de Hidalgo de Parral, Auttos de Visita hechos por el Capitan Don Antonio Bezerra Nieto, Año de 1718)

In the said royal presidio on the second day of the month of January in the year 1759, I, the said bachiller, provided church burial with lower cross in the fifth section of the church for Nicolás, a slave of Bachiller Tomás Bezerra.
