For the mobility impaired:
The National Prisoner of War museum is accessible and offers accessible restrooms and two family restrooms.
The historic prison site was built on sloping terrain leading to a creek. Portions of the prison site contain some uneven terrain. Portions of the historic prison site may be difficult to reach in a wheelchair. All outdoor exhibits are accessible. Paved roads provide access around the historic prison site and through the National Cemetery. Wheelchair-accessible bridges lead to the Star Fort, North Gate, and Shelter Corner.
Accessible parking is available at the Monument Corner, Providence Spring, and the Star Fort. A paved path with a narrow bridge leads to the Providence Spring House. There are steps with no railing leading into the spring house. A wooden bridge, with handrails and a moderately steep incline, leads to the Star Fort.
For the hearing impaired:
The visitor center theater programs and museum videos are captioned. Written texts of audio programs are available. A hearing assistance system is also available upon request at the front desk.
For the visually impaired:
A braille version of the park brochure is available upon request.
Audio tours are available for the prison site and cemetery through the park's website.
Individuals with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged contact the park in advance to discuss their needs.
