Schoodic Woods Campground

Schoodic Woods Campground is located 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Winter Harbor on the Schoodic Peninsula. It is the only campground on the mainland section of the park.

• Season Dates: May 22 through October 14, 2024 (subject to change)

• Ninety percent of campsites are released six months in advance on the first of each month at 10 am EST. The remaining 10 percent are released at 10 am 14 days ahead of a desired arrival date on a rolling basis. All campsite reservations must be made in advance at Recreation.gov. Reservations cannot be made through the campground office or in-person.

• Camping Fees (Paid at time of reservation, not at the campground):

  • Hike-in tent sites (primitive): $22

  • Drive up tent/small RV (20 amp): $30

  • RV with electric only sites (20/30/50 amp): $36

  • RV with electric and water (20/30/50 amp): $40

  • Group tent sites: $60

Discounts are available for Senior and Access pass holders.

NOTICE: At all hike-in campsites, setting, building, maintaining, attending, or using a campfire (including charcoal) is prohibited. Stoves and grills fueled by petroleum fuels such as Liquid Propane Gas (LPG), butane, or white gas are allowed.

May I make a same day reservation for tonight?

Visitors are able to make same day reservations if campsites are available. Reservations must be made through Recreation.gov and cannot be made through the campground office or in person.
