Schoodic Woods CampgroundSchoodic Woods Campground is located 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Winter Harbor on the Schoodic Peninsula. It is the only campground on the mainland section of the park.

Campground FAQsMay I make a same day reservation for tonight?Visitors are able to make same day reservations if campsites are available. Reservations must be made through Recreation.gov and cannot be made through the campground office or in person. When do Schoodic Woods campsites become available?Ninety percent of campsites are released six months in advance on the first of each month at 10 am EST. The remaining 10 percent are released at 10 am 14 days ahead of a desired arrival date on a rolling basis. All campsite reservations must be made in advance at Recreation.gov. Reservations cannot be made through the campground office or in-person. Does Schoodic Woods Campground have showers?No. There are no showers at the Schoodic Woods Campground. How far is Schoodic Woods Campground from Acadia National Park?Schoodic Woods Campground is part of Acadia National Park. It is about a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from Bar Harbor, near where the main area of the park is located. We will be arriving late. Is there anything we need to do?Arriving after hours?
