The National Park Service is a government agency under the Department of the Interior. Our mission is to preserve and protect natural and historic landscapes for ourselves and our posterity to enjoy forever. That is no easy task and is done by in part by a seasonal workforce, often working anywhere from 3-9 months out of the year.
The National Park Service employs just over 30,000 people while our concessionaires, friends, and partners all provide alternative opportunities to live and work in national parks. |
