Canyon Mouth Picnic Area

There is a $3 user fee per vehicle. This is the only area that requires a fee within the Preserve. Seasonal passes can be purchased for $10 and can be purchased by mail by sending a check for $10 made out the "National Park Service". Mail to Little River Canyon National Preserve, 2141 Gault Avenue North, Fort Payne, AL 35967. Please make sure that your name and correct return address are marked clearly in your request.

Several improvements have been made to the Canyon Mouth Picnic Area this past year. The parking lot has been paved and marked. Gabion baskets have been added alongside the river to reduce flooding. A new bridge and an automated fee booth have been installed.

The Cherokee County Master Gardeners are helping us with the landscaping at the Canyon Mouth Picnic Area. We welcome and appreciate the skills of these volunteers.

There are no fees to tour the Scenic Drive, Little River Falls or the Backcountry Area.
