Lake Meredith National Recreation Area is a fee-free park.
America the Beautiful Annual and Lifetime Passes
Lake Meredith does not sell the National Park or Federal Recreation Land passes. The Annual, Senior, and Access Passes may be purchased online from the USGS Store.

Annual Passes
Information
The park does not charge any fees, therefore,
we do not sell recreation passes.
Here is information on various passes within the National Park Service.
- America the Beautiful Annual Pass: $80
- Military Pass: Free
- Eligibility: Active duty military members and dependents.
- Show your Common Access Card (CAC) or Military ID (Form 1173) to obtain this pass.
- Annual 4th Grade Pass: Free
- Eligibility:
- United States 4th graders during the school year and the following summer
- To obtain this pass, go to the Every Kid in a Park website and print a paper pass, after completing a short activity. Bring the paper pass to any park charging an entrance fee and exchange it for the Annual 4th Grade Pass. Digital screenshots will not be accepted. The 4th grader must be present.
- Volunteer Pass: Free
- Annual Passes Do Not Cover or Reduce: Any amenity fees such as camping or interpretive services, and concessionaire fees.
Senior Pass
- Lifetime Senior Pass: $80*
- Annual Senior Pass: $20, if purchased for 4 consecutive years. These passes can be exchanged for the Lifetime Senior Pass.
- Eligibility: U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or older. Applicants must provide documentation of age and residency or citizenship.
- Covers: Entrance fees to federal lands (same as America the Beautiful Annual Pass). This pass may also cover a 50 percent discount on amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping and specialized interpretive services. Always check with your destination to learn what is covered.
- Generally does not cover: Fees charged by concessionaires and some tour fees.
- Purchase online or by mail: To purchase a Senior Pass online. There is an additional $10 processing fee for purchasing the Senior Pass online or by mail.
*The price of the Senior Lifetime Pass increased in August of 2017. Previously purchased passes remain valid for entrance fees and other benefits the pass provides.
Access Pass
- Cost: Free
- Eligibility: U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. Applicants must provide documentation of permanent disability and residency or citizenship.
- Covers: Entrance fees to federal lands (same as America the Beautiful Annual Pass). This pass may also cover a 50 percent discount on amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping and specialized interpretive services. Always check with you destination to learn what is covered.
- Generally does not cover: Fees charged by concessionaires and some tour fees.
