Do you have or qualify for a discounted America the Beautiful Pass?

If you already have an America the Beautiful—the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, that's the only entrance pass you need. Seniors, military, visitors with a permanent disability, and families with a 4th grader are eligible for a free or discounted America the Beautiful pass.

Entrance Passes

Fort Vancouver National Historic Site offers an annual pass that covers entrance fees for 4 visitors ages 16 and up. Visitors ages 15 and under are free. This pass can be purchased at the gates of Fort Vancouver or at Recreation.gov.

Standard Entrance Pass

$10.00

A day use/entrance fee is required to access reconstructed Fort Vancouver for everyone 16 years of age or older. The Visitor Center, Pearson Air Museum, Barclay House, and McLoughlin House do not require a day use/entrance fee.

For Individuals

All visitors over the age of 16 need an entrance pass, including vehicle passengers. Children under the age of 16 don't need an entrance pass.

Day use/entrance fees are required for visitors ages 16 and up to access reconstructed Fort Vancouver. Federal Interagency Passes are accepted. There is no day use/entrance fee for visitors accessing the Visitor Center, Pearson Air Museum, the Barclay House, and McLoughlin House.

America the Beautiful Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass.

Passes can be purchased or picked up at over 1,000 federal recreation sites.

Order Online, Receive by Mail

To receive your pass by mail, order online at the USGS Online Store . Online orders are for physical passes, not digital passes, and may take up to three weeks to be processed and delivered. Order receipts may not be used in place of a physical pass. We recommend ordering at least three weeks in advance of your visit, or picking up a pass in person instead.

America the Beautiful

Interagency passes can be purchased in person at the Reconstructed HBC Fort Vancouver Site in Vancouver, WA. Passes are not available at the Fort Vancouver Visitor Center, Pearson Air Museum, or at the McLoughlin House Site in Oregon City, OR.

The America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series includes different options of interagency passes that provide access to more than 2,000 federal recreation areas across the United States.

Passes cover:

  • entrance fees at National Park Service and US Fish and Wildlife sites
  • standard amenity fees (day-use fees) at Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, US Forest Service, and US Army Corps of Engineers sites

In general, passes cover the above types of fees for everyone in a personal vehicle at per-vehicle fee areas or up to four adults at sites that charge per person. Children ages 15 or under are admitted free. Two lifetime passes (Senior and Access) provide additional benefits, such as a 50-percent discount on camping at some sites. Always check with individual sites for details.

Interagency passes include:

*A new program that provides free access for US military veterans and Gold Star Family members took effect in fall 2022 as a way to thank them for their support of our country and to encourage them to explore recreational opportunities on their public lands and waters. Fee-Free Days

The year-round entrance fee to the reconstructed Fort Vancouver is occasionally waived. In fact, a variety of holidays, as well as part of the annual "National Park Week" each spring, see entrance fees waived at all national parks. Learn more about upcoming fee-free days.
