With over 70,000 acres, there are countless places for you to relax and maybe enjoy a nice picnic with your friends and family. The park has several options available for picnicing. Grills are not provided anywhere in the park, but you are welcome to bring your own, with the exception of Kittatinny Point and George W. Childs Park as no grilling is allowed in these areas. Ground fires are prohibited throughout the entire park. Do not bring wood from outside the park for any purpose; it may contain invasive insects and other organisms that threaten the survival of local plant and animal life. Collecting wood in the park for fires is also expressly prohibited, since even the smallest twig may serve as a critical habitat or food source for protected plant and animal life.
