Where do I buy the tickets for the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Ferry?

-Inside Castle Clinton, 8:30-3:30 daily, except December 25th. Please note that during busy seasons tickets can sell out earily. For more information about visiting the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island, please visit their websites.

Who is the "Clinton" in Castle Clinton.

-No, it's not President Bill Clinton but rather Gov. Dewitt Clinton of New York state. The fort was originally called the South West battery but shortly renamed after the states popular leader.

"Ranger, where are the bathrooms?"

-Ask any National Park Ranger and they will tell you this is the most popular question in the Service.  Restrooms are located inside Castle Clinton, at both ends of Battery Park, on the Ferry Boats and on Liberty and Ellis Islands.
