BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY - NC,VA Rangers Save Life In Attempted Suicide A ranger who came upon an apparently abandoned vehicle on a parkway overlook found that the owner was thought to be suicidal. A search was begun and he was found semi-conscious and unresponsive about 100 yards down an embankment the next day. He was flown to a hospital and is expected to fully recover. GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK - TN,NC Man Apprehended In Bull Elk Poaching Case Rangers found the carcass of a bull elk in a pasture in the Cataloochee area last Friday.
