Individual Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play a vital role in the preservation of Zion National Park and are involved in all aspect of park operations. These dedicated individuals staff visitor center desks, manage campgrounds, remove invasive plant species, patrol the backcountry and much more.

First, review the current volunteer opportunities. Once you have found an opportunity that interests you, follow either option below to apply.

Option 1: Click "apply online now" in the lower left corner of the volunteer opportunity page on volunteer.gov/gov.

Option 2: Download the volunteer application and mail or email it to the volunteer coordinator. Please specify which position(s) you are applying for and provide detailed information about your experience with references.

If you have questions, please email zion_park_information@nps.gov. Listen to recorded information by calling anytime 24 hours a day. Rangers answer phone calls from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. MT, but a ranger may not answer if they are already speaking with someone else.
