Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is the only national park dedicated to the promotion of the performing arts. At Wolf Trap, visitors can enjoy a world-class experience at the Filene Center, a 13-story tall venue, built out of steel beams and Douglas fir siding, which can accommodate over 7,000 guests. Hundreds of thousands of visitors from across the country and the world visit the Filene Center to enjoy the performing arts in a natural setting. Each year, approximately 70-80 shows are produced at the Filene Center by our partner, the Wolf Trap Foundation, ranging from rock concerts to ballets, and from operas to folk performances. In addition to offering live performances, Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts also preserves over 100 acres of natural landscape. With hiking trails, an outdoor theater, and ranger led programs, there are many opportunities for outdoor recreation and family fun.
