Weir Farm NHP offers something for everyone, and we do our best to accomodate students, artists, and groups. A typical group visit includes a tour of the historic Weir House and/or Studios followed by time to explore the grounds and gardens, have a picnic lunch, or make art in the park with our free-to-use supplies. School Groups / Field TripsBook a free field trip for your class, school, or homeschool today! Please visit the Field Trips webpage for more information and a listing of available dates for field trips. Group ToursGroup tours of the Weir House and Studios are limited to 12 people and must be scheduled in advance. Group tours begin at 9:45am and include limited Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays late-June through October. Please email us at wefa_interpretation@nps.gov if you are interested in a group tour, and we will follow up with a list of available dates and additional information. Please note we have limited dates available for September and October 2024, and we will not begin booking group tours for 2025 until April 2025.Scout GroupsWeir Farm NHP accomodates scout groups in the mornings on the second Saturday of each month, May through October, by reservation only. 2024 dates still availalbe include: October 12. We will open up booking for 2025 dates in April, 2025. Scout groups typically participate in one or more of the Park's Junior Ranger activities and earn a Weir Farm Junior Ranger Badge and National Park Service Scout-Ranger Patch. Email us at wefa_interpretation@nps.gov if you are interested in booking a visit for your scout group, and we will follow up to confirm availability and provide additional information, including where to park.Plein Air Paint-outs and Artist GroupsArtists are encouraged to visit Weir Farm NHP and participate in the ongoing artistic legacy by creating art in the landscape. Due to our limited parking capacity, all groups of artists meeting up at the park in three or more cars must schedule a group visit by making a reservation with the Park. We can typically accomodate artist groups in our overflow parking lot - up to 25 people Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and up to 15 people on weekends with advanced planning.
