to Julian Alden Weir

Deed
This indenture, made the 19th day of July in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty two between Erwin Davis and Emily B. Davis, his wife, parties of the first part, and Julian Alden Weir, party of the second part: Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for an in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars, lawful money of the United States of America, to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, remised, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, remise, release, convey and confirm until the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain tract of land with the buildings thereon bounded north by burying ground land of Henry Smith in part and in part by land of Anna Beers, easterly and southerly by Highway and westerly by lands of Henry Smith and containing twenty acres more or less, situated wholly in the Town of Ridgefield, in the County of Fairfield and State of Connecticut.
Also all that other tract of land situated partly in said Ridgefield and partly in the Town of Wilton in said Fairfield County containing one hundred and thirty three acres more or less bounded northerly land of heirs of William W. Beers, deceased, of Abram Fitch, of Francis B. Beers, of Charles B. Morehouse and of Walter Bates, easterly by lands of Walter Bates and Mrs. Godfrey, southernly by lands of heirs of Sherman Bennett and of Fredrick Webb and westerly by land of Frederick Webb and Orin Jennings and by Highway. The above described tracks being the same premises conveyed to the Gilbert and Bennett Manufacturing Company by certain deeds of conveyance bearing date the 10th day of May, 1880, and the 26th Day of April, 1880 and recorded in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Ridgefield in Volume 72, at pages 651, 661 and 663.
Together with all the tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances there unto belonging, or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and revisions, remainder and remainders, rent issues and profits thereof. And also, all the estate, right, title, interest, dower and rights of dower property, possession, claim and demand whatsoever, as well in law as in equity, of the said parties of the first part, of in or to the above described premises, and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances. To have and to hold all and singulars the above mentioned and described premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part, his heirs or assigns forever.
