Spiny Lobster

STATION H: Well, what do you know!  This is a Langouste, or Spiny Lobster (Panulirus argus), and it usually comes out only at night.  But here it is, just strolling along the sunlit seafloor.  How lucky you are to see it! 

Spiny lobsters are good to eat.  There used to be more of them around, but they've been fished out of many places.  Soooooooo, leave this critter to make more little lobsters.

Something else is moving. Carefully, slowly...swim a little bit ahead. This animal is watching YOU, and if you go too fast, it may squirt some ink, and be gone in a flash. Go slowly to Station I.
