The National Park Service (NPS) is proposing to increase the entrance fee at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site and Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site to support projects that benefit visitors and protect park resources. The increased fee revenue will allow the parks to address preservation needs of the homes, which is critical to ensuring the continued enjoyment and long-term preservation of these significant sites.

A former National Park Service (NPS) employee recently bequeathed a generous financial donation to two national parks in Hyde Park, New York. The donation came from the trust of Mr. Donald E. Borquist, a long time community member of Hyde Park, and a previous NPS Employee. Borquist's gift will be divided evenly between the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site and Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site.
