Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument is located less than 20 miles from the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. The monument is 35 square miles and stretches along US Highway 95 north of Aliante and Centennial Hills to Creech Air Force Base. Getting Here by PlaneLas Vegas International Airport is the closest major airport. Getting Here by BusBus service from Las Vegas to Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument is available through the Regional Transportation Commission. Getting Here by BikeLas Vegas and North Las Vegas are bike-friendly cities. Bicycle routes, bicycle lanes and shared-use paths are available from Las Vegas to the Southern portion of the park in both the cities of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. Getting Here by CarTwo parking areas are available:Aliante Kiosk Parking Area (N. Aliante Parkway & W. Moonlight Falls Avenue): From County Road 215, take exit 43 for N. Aliante Pkwy. Follow N. Aliante Pkwy north to the stop sign at Grand Teton Road. Proceed straight through the intersection, and the parking area is on the east side of the road at W. Moonlight Falls Avenue. Moccasin/Durango Parking Area (N. Durango Dr. & W. Moccasin Rd.): From I-95 North, take exit 93/N. Durango Dr. and turn right to continue north along N. Durango Dr. past Floyd Lamb Park until the street ends at W. Moccasin Rd. |
