The South Unit of Tule Springs Fossil Beds is temporarily closed to visitor access south of Grand Teton Drive, between Tule Springs Parkway and North Fifth Street in North Las Vegas for visitor safety during construction activities.

Today, the National Park Service (NPS) released the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument General Management Plan (plan) and the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the associated Environmental Assessment (EA). The purpose of this plan is to articulate a vision and overall management philosophy for the monument that will inform long-term decision-making by current and future managers.

Experience Ice Age Las Vegas at a brand-new travelling exhibit at the Springs Preserve, developed by Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument: "Apparitions of the Ice Age." This exhibit features scientifically accurate paintings that depict prehistoric life at Tule Springs during the last Ice Age.

Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument held its first-ever Night Sky Astronomy program on November 20th in partnership with Desert National Wildlife Refuge. The Monument’s new Night Sky program aims to share stargazing experiences with the urban communities surrounding Tule Springs Fossil Beds.
